Childcare
Childcare around the main school day and during the holidays can help you to work or train and also gives your child an opportunity to have a fun place to go out of school hours. Our primary schools will regularly consult with their parents to identify the need for childcare provision out of school hours ie between 8.00am – 6.0opm. Where sufficient demand has been shown, breakfast clubs and care clubs have been set up. However, due to the size of many of our small, rural schools, sadly demand is often not sufficient to set up such clubs in each school. In this instance, we will assist you by signposting you to the relevant agencies who can help you in identifying an Registered Childminder or other suitable alternative. Please bear in mind, we do not recommend any particular alternative childcare provision, and we advise you to personally check any provision that you consider using for your child to ensure that you are completely happy with the service that is being offered.
